CC4 hit the judges for 6 in National Video Competition
CC4 have been awarded 3rd place in the prestigious Nat West Cricket Force Video Diary competition for their work at St Fagans Cricket Club in Cardiff.

The company spent the weekend filming at the cricket club, capturing footage of Ashes hero Simon Jones along with ECB Chairman David Morgan helping club members prepare the grounds and the pavilion for the current season. Cricket Force is an ECB initiative which encourages volunteers and sponsors from local communities throughout the UK to help "spruce up" their local cricket clubs in preparation for the new season. The 2006 event saw over 70,000 volunteers generate over £30 million worth of help at more than 1050 clubs throughout the UK.

Simon Jones was joined by Glamorgan colleagues Darren Thomas, Mark Wallace, David Harrison, Adam harrison, Will Bragg and Huw Waters, all of whom helped out repainting thepavilion as well as coaching St Fagans youngsters. Well over 100 volunteers from the local community turned out to refurbish the scoreboard, paint the sightscreens, pavilion and the surrounding fence, rebuild the covers and generally tidy up the grounds.

CC4 filmed the activities all weekend, and then turned the results into the prize winning video. Additionally, a number of youngsters were given the opportunity to run the camera, and act as Sound Assistants, giving them additional interest in the final video output.

The judges citation reads; "a very professional production, a credit to the Cardiff club".
